Document what was actually installed
Collect models, serial numbers, as-built single-line drawings, protection settings, communication addresses and manuals. Record approved changes from the quoted equipment. Transfer monitoring access and agree data ownership. The first fault is a poor time to discover nobody can export the operating history.
Link acceptance tests to the project’s purpose
For self-consumption, verify meter direction and control response. For peak shaving, check the agreed strategy. Where backup is included, test transfer and sustained supply with the agreed loads. Record conditions, times and results, not only screenshots. Set a later review method for seasonal performance that cannot be checked on handover day.
Plan the first year of maintenance
Assign alarm review, site attendance, spare parts and work reserved for qualified personnel. Establish generation, battery operation, downtime and alarm baselines for comparison. Follow equipment requirements and site conditions. Repeated resets are not a substitute for investigating a fault.
